I should reduce weight

Recently I have put on weight and my family doctor has advised me to shed some pounds for the safety of my future. My weight is slightly above my BMI level and it is not safe for me if I add some more weight . Due to work pressure and family issues I could not look after my health. I have planned to hit gym from tomorrow. Also, I have already started running in the morning from yesterday. The thing is I could not stop eating junk foods which I love the most. If I control eating junk foods I will shed weight easily.

If I get a partner I will hit gym tomorrow and start working out with him. Before stepping in to gym I should find a website which provides info about protein bar ,so that I could buy it and start in-taking it before I start my workouts. I have never tried protein bars in my life but I recently read article about the benefits of in-taking protein bars. Hope I will shed weight by the end of this year.
